Abstract

The purpose of this work is to prove the existence and uniqueness of a common fixed point of an F-contraction mapping in complete metric spaces. Moreover, we also extend our common fixed point results to an α-coupled common fixed point result. Finally, we discuss the existence and uniqueness for a common solution of coupled systems of functional equations in terms of F-contraction mappings.
