Cloud computing, as the seamless integration of physical, digital, and cognitive spaces, continues to evolve rapidly, playing a transformative role across sectors such as education, healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and public services. As we approach 2026, the fusion of cloud technologies with Artificial Intelligence (AI)—particularly Large Language Models (LLMs)—is reshaping how data, services, and intelligence are delivered at scale.
While cloud platforms have become essential for scalable and flexible computing, they also present critical challenges related to trust, autonomy, data privacy, security, latency, and sustainability. The rapid advancement of generative AI and foundation models introduces both new capabilities and complex ethical and technical concerns when deployed in cloud and edge environments.
